A red indicator light indicates that the battery is being charged, a green light indicates that the battery is fully charged.

What is the difference with an original Panasonic charger?
The product is more compact than the original Panasonic charger, but it works just as well. A retractable plug sticking out of the bottom fits directly into the power outlet. Original Panasonic batteries can also be charged with this charger.
